How to match forceps with your endoscope All OLYMPUS® ( biopsy forceps, grasping forceps, surgical scissors, etc.) have colored thumb rings or handles. The color of the thumb ring indicates the required endoscope channel diameter. OLYMPUS® endoscopes also carry color markings which are imprinted just below the channel orifice. If the color of your forceps’ thumb ring is the same as on your endoscope the forceps will fit into the endoscope´s channel.
